# Sources and licenses

InkDraft application code: GPL-3.0-only. No public Inkshell terminal/remapper
code is linked into this application. Those separate components retain their
GPL-2.0 license. This manuscript editor is a new QTextDocument application.

Hunspell 1.7.6: commit `15faca15532b34db3106d50f162e5edc2503d6d6`,
tri-licensed MPL 1.1 / GPL 2+ / LGPL 2.1+. Application distribution chooses the
GPL-compatible path. Corresponding source is pinned by inputs.json and fetched
by scripts/prepare.py; source archives must accompany any device release.

English dictionaries: LibreOffice dictionaries commit
`4f1df64b2e8e14751aa7c2205d170ca016071315`. US: SCOWL/component terms;
GB: LGPL/component notices. Each optional module includes its README and license,
and the source URLs and SHA-256 values are retained in inputs.json. Qt is linked
dynamically; its license and corresponding-source obligations remain applicable.

This private source MVP is not a signed binary release. Complete Qt dependency
notices, exact firmware ABI, corresponding-source bundle and distribution audit
must be assembled before conveying a device release to other users.

Product photograph copyright reMarkable; it is not covered by this application's
GPL license. It is embedded as a hardware reference behind the instructional UI.
Provenance, SHA-256 and display bounds: `vendor/ui-assets.json`.
The former generated shell is no longer used or distributed by the application.

The QML screen reconstructions use Maxime Rivest's own photographs of
OS 3.27.3.0 as a visual reference. Those photographs are not bundled:

Native guide typography: Noto Sans and EB Garamond, SIL Open Font License 1.1.
Pinned fonts, upstream URLs, SHA-256 and OFL notices are retained under
`.artifacts/assets/`. The Mac package and local site include the notices.
Guide icons are original SVG path descriptions shared between HTML and QML.
The reviewed instructional narration is synthetic Gemini output, voice Sulafat;
no voice cloning. Source clips, transcript hashes and generation receipts are retained.
## Experimental device adapter

XOVI's build-time `xovigen.py` is copied unmodified from asivery/xovi at
`0c8d5269b55c851901d4e4a754dc2d7deab40b17`, under GPL-3.0; full license and
source provenance are in `vendor/xovi/`. The small loader entry and sidebar
diff derive from smith-chris/inkshell (GPL-3.0), with independent Ink Type IDs.
The Tabler keyboard icon is MIT licensed; `vendor/tabler/` retains its license,
pinned source and digest. No XOVI binary or proprietary firmware is included.
